Croatia has stunned Argentina to qualify for the last 16 at the football world cup in Russia

Luka Modric, Ante Rebic and Ivan Rakitic have scored second half goals to lead Croatia to a 3-nil win over Argentina, that leaves the South American giants on the brink of elimination from group D

Argentina have just one point from two games while Croatia are through to the knockout rounds for the first time since their first appearance at a world cup finals in 1998.

Earlier France booked a round of 16 place from group C after a 1-nil win over Peru while Denmark and Australia have drawn one all leaving both sides in with a chance of qualifying.
