Snow is set to fall on alpine roads around the country

Metservice says showers are expected to turn to snow on the Desert Road tomorrow afternoon.

Snow showers look to continue through to tomorrow morning on Lewis Pass, Arthurs Pass, Lindis Pass and the Crown Range Road.

Snow is forecast to continue falling on Haast Pass until midnight tonight.

And up to 40cm snow could fall on Milford Road between now and midnight tomorrow.
