12 July 2018
Dozens of jobs are set to go, after the chocolate maker and dairy giant reached a confidential agreement overnight to sell off its New Zealand brands.
It's beginning consultation to reduce manufacturing at its south Auckland factory in Wiri.
The company will sell brands like Mackintosh's, Heards, and Black Knight to Quadrant Private Equity, the owners of RJ's and Darrell Lee.
Nestle says up to 55 roles will be made redundant from a workforce of more than 270.
