A disabled woman in Auckland has spent a month trapped in her own home, as she waits for the Ministry of Health to have an access lift fixed
26 August 2018
Josie Haurau, from Auckland's North Shore, has spina bifida, and relies on an access lift to get in and out of her home.
Her mother, Donna, says it could be another three weeks before the lift is repaired.
She says she and her daughter feel like prisoners in their own home.
