Dashcam footage has busted a Waikato woman who overtook a truck on a blind corner

Vivek Jacob was driving in the opposite direction and his dash-cam recorded his close call.

He had to jam on the brakes and swerve to the left to avoid crashing into Paula Rees.

The truck she was overtaking also had to serve.

Police became aware of the incident when the footage was posted on social media.

They have charged Rees with dangerous driving.

Her excuse was she was running late for work.

Rees has been fined two hundred dollars, ordered to pay court costs of 130- dollars and been disqualified from driving for six months.

Her lawyer says the disqualification may mean she loses her job, as she has no other way than driving to get to work.
