No guarantees crucial legislation will be passed, before petrol prices potentially hit two-dollars-40 in Wellington and Christchurch

The AA says the price for 91 octane has reached two-dollars-36 in the capital
and two-dollars-34 in Christchurch - the most motorists have ever paid.
Energy and Resources Minister Megan Woods says the Government has moved as
swiftly as it can - to give the Commerce Commission powers to compel businesses
to comply with their requests.
She says she understands how frustrated people are, but the reality is
nothing more can be done until the Commerce Commission has market study powers.
