A real estate agent will be sentenced today for fraudulently obtaining commissions from Selwyn District Council
20 September 2018
Shirley Johnston received 13 commission payments between March 2007 and July 2015 for work she did not do.
They relate to property sales at Izone a Selwyn District Council business park development.
Almost 150-thousand dollars of commissions were transferred into a bank account controlled by her and her husband Stephen Gubb - who was a property consultant at the business park.
He's already serving time in prison for his part in the offending..
