Jessica Biel had cake for breakfast after the Emmy Awards

The 'Sinner' actress may have lost out to Regina King for the Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie accolade at Monday's (17.09.18) ceremony, but she still had a great night out with husband Justin Timberlake and the only thing that could ease her hangover after the afterparties was a sugary treat

She shared a series of photos on Instagram on Tuesday (18.09.18) which were captioned: "Portrait of a hungover woman who had cake for breakfast."

The first photo showed the 36-year-old actress without make-up but looking happy, the second was of the cake with a woman's photo and the words "I'm proud of you" on it, and they were followed by a Boomerang video of Jessica eating a huge piece of cake with her hand, seemingly fresh out of the shower.

The last photo she posted featured the brunette beauty leaning against the fridge with cake smeared on her face.

After the awards ceremony took place, Jessica and Justin had left the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and made a quick stop for a burger before heading out partying.

Jessica had shared a photo of herself in a strapless yellow Ralph & Russo gown and captioned it: "After party bound, energy courtesy of In and Out Burger."

The 'Total Recall' actress - who has son Silas, three, with Justin - has previously confessed to eating pasta in the shower because she's so pressed for time.

She said: "I'm feeding [Silas] in the morning, trying to get ready, and I realise I haven't eaten, [so] I just take it into the shower."

But she admitted it isn't always the easiest way to eat a meal.

She added: "Sometimes it's a huge success! Sometimes it's a huge failure."
