    Sam Bewley's more than happy to play a supporting role for the star of the New Zealand men's road cycling team's cast


    Bewley will join Dion Smith and Paddy Bevin in assisting George Bennett in tonight's road race at the world championships in Austria.

    Bewley says while predominantly kiwi cyclists are bigger in stature, the Innsbruck course will suit a runt of the litter like Bennett.

    Bewley says his role will be to look after Bennett and make sure he's in position and able to perform.

    The road race begins at 8:45pm.
