Police Senior Sergeant Trevor Thomson says they caught the driver during routine road policing on Barnes Drive in Caversham on the weekend.
Thomson says the man was driving at 146 kilometres an hour along the motorway.
He says he wasn't the only one, with several people caught going over 100 in the 80 kilometre zone.
Thomson says that kind of speed is penalised with a loss of licence.
