The Dane was runner up this year to Julia Goerges but went on to win her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.
Tournament director Karl Budge is a personal friend of Wozniacki and says it's a great statement as to how the tournament is viewed by some of the big players.
He says it's like test driving a car and once they've got them in the car they tend to purchase it and they've had that with Wozniacki, the moment she came she's been coming back.
Wozniacki joins seven times Grand Slam champion Venus Venus as confirmed starters for the ASB Classic.
