The worst winter for nasty colds in 20 years at Levin School
The worst winter for nasty colds in 20 years at Levin School

Office manager Gail Pickering says many primary school students have been sick, and parents are less willing to send some who may be on the fence.
She says parents increasingly realise their child taking a bug to school only means other students - and even teachers - getting sick.
The school's absence app, Skool Loop, is showing of 450 schools it monitors, there's been an 87 percent increase this winter compared to last.
Pickering says it's a shame - but if a kid's sick, they should stay home.
She says it does have a snowball effect because the kids have to catch up on the work they missed.
