Nepo Laulala is expected to be named on the bench for Counties Manukau while Joe Moody will ride the pine for Canterbury in Saturday's match in Pukekohe.
Moody broke his thumb against the Wallabies in August, while Laulala has had to endure two bouts of surgery to overcome a broken forearm suffered playing for the Chiefs in March.
Laulala says they've been exchanging messages.
He says Moody texted him when he found out they would be playing against each other, and they've been giving each other crap since.
