Donald Trump has escalated his attack on the US Federal Reserve's interest rate increases

Donald Trump has escalated his attack on the US Federal Reserve's interest rate increases, asserting the Fed is out of control and blaming it for this week's plunge in stock prices

He says it's a correction and he thinks it's caused by the Federal Reserve with interest rates

It 's the latest in a series of recent barrages the president has unleashed at the US Fed, which under his hand-picked chairman, Jerome Powell, has been gradually lifting rates as the economy has strengthened.
