    A 27 year old man is facing a number of firearms charges after the Armed Offenders Squad and a Police Negotiation Team were called to a home on the West Coast after a domestic incident


    Part of State Highway seven was cordoned off after the incident at a house in Totara Flat yesterday afternoon

    Police had received reports a weapon was discharged

    The arrested man is due to appear in Greymouth District Court today.
