Prominent Maori leader Sir Ngatata Love has died

The 81-year-old passed away last week in his Lower Hutt home surrounded by whanau.
Sir Ngatata actively fought against land sales and mismanagement of Maori Reserve Lands.
He was a former chairman of the Wellington Tenths Trust and also led Te Puni Kokiri, the Ministry Maori of Development for a period in the 90's.
In 2016, he was sentenced to jail for two years and 6 months after being found guilty of obtaining property by deception.
