    The National Party President has revealed some of his dealings with a Chinese businessman involved in the Jami-Lee Ross saga


    It comes after revelations the embattled Botany MP and leader Simon Bridges discussed a 100-thousand-dollar donation, and the political prospects of the donor's business partner, Colin Zheng.

    President Peter Goodfellow has confirmed Zheng is one of dozens of new members of National's candidates' college.

    He was asked whether Zheng would be there, if his boss had not made a large party donation.

    Goodfellow says he's known him for some time, he thinks Zheng is a good potential candidate for the National Party, and he encouraged Zheng to enter the college.
