Hot on the tail of the Lime e-scooter hype, moped ride-sharing service Kwikli has launched in Auckland
13 November 2018
The New Zealand owned and operated company took to the streets of Takapuna and Devonport over the weekend.
Using the moped will cost the driver an unlocking fee of $2 and then a usage charge of 35 cents per minute - slightly more expensive than a Lime scooter.
The mopeds can reach speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour but are not allowed to travel on the motorway.
Kwikli drivers must be over 18 years old and carry a full valid drivers' licence.
