The PSA has escalated strike action in the Manakau and Auckland District Courts today - refusing to carry out paperwork duties until December 7.
Ministry of Justice chief operating officer Carl Crafar says it will affect hearings and the ministry is working through this with the judiciary and justice sector partners.
He says the Ministry remains open and committed to reaching a negotiated settlement and is ready to meet with the PSA at any time.
As a result of the strike action, Manakau District Court sentencings have been cancelled for the week.
