With centre Robbie Henshaw joining halfback Connor Murray and flanker Sean O'Brien on the sidelines, the Irish have dealt with setbacks this week.
The likely starting midfield of Bundee Aki and Garry Ringrose are carrying injury concerns as are fullback Rob Kearney and halfback Kieran Marmion
Ireland defence coach Andy Farrell says the quartet took part in training today.
He says they will assess those players over the next 24 hours but they appear to be on the right track.
