An All Blacks record is nice, but Sam Whitelock would rather an All Blacks win tomorrow morning
17 November 2018
Whitelock and locking partner Brodie Retallick are set to break the New Zealand mark for most tests as a second row combination when they run out to face Ireland in Dublin.
The duo currently share the mark at 49 tests with Ian Jones and Robin Brooke.
Whitelock says he was only made aware of the record prior to the England test.
He says he didn't have a clue besides that and it's cool to look back at it, but it won't mean anything if they don't perform.
Kick off from Dublin's at 8am, with live commentary on Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport.
