Westpac is expecting a second wind for the New Zealand economy - a strong patch of growth over the next couple of years

Chief economist Dominick Stephens says house prices are set to keep rising, GDP growth will be stable, and construction activity will be strong.
He says we could even see real wage growth, which has long been rising only as fast as inflation.
Stephens says the outlook is different around the country - with local economies more buoyant, and Auckland and Canterbury a bit lacklustre.
