Martin Guptill's all smiles after a successful return to the cricket pitch
4 December 2018
The Black Caps batsman played for his Auckland club side over the weekend, scoring 62 runs in his first match since he suffered a hamstring strain and then tore his calf.
Guptill's happy with how things went.
He says things have started to come a bit more fluent and he was nervous heading out in the middle but it was great fun.
Martin Guptill will play some more club cricket and is hoping to target a representative return via Auckland's Super Smash Twenty20 campaign which starts later this month.
