Tasmanian team the Southern Huskies will join the competition from next season as part of a five year deal.
Basketball New Zealand boss Iain Potter says the Huskies will host Kiwi sides for double headers, which they'll also have to pay for.
He says the Huskies will pay for a travelling party of 12 to get there and back again, as well as one night's accommodation.
They also have to cover the costs of one New Zealand referee.
