Paekakariki Hill Road's closing today and the two other Fridays before Christmas

Paekakariki Hill Road's closing today and the two other Fridays before Christmas

NZTA wants to see if it helps improve safety and journey times for motorists heading north of Wellington.

Spokesman Mark Owen says last Friday's closure improved travel times for 90 percent of motorists.

After Christmas, feedback will be gathered from travellers and Paekakariki Hill Road residents to make decisions on future closures.
