Food is getting cheaper, thanks to a seasonal fall in vegetable prices

Prices fell 0.6-percent in the past month.

Tomatoes are 18-percent cheaper than a year ago, due to a sunnier start to summer.

Strawberries are five-percent cheaper, after their biggest price fall in four years.

Bananas prices rose 17-percent over the month, after a delayed shipment reduced supply.

Meat prices have eased slightly, due to cheaper poultry prices.
