New Zealand have won the toss and chosen to bat in the first Test against Sri Lanka

New Zealand have won the toss and chosen to bat in the first Test against Sri Lanka

Despite a green shade to the pitch, Black Caps' captain Kane Williamson says it might not be as seamer friendly as many think.

He says it looks like a pretty good surface and there are more brown patches than normal.

Sri Lankan captain Dinesh Chandimal says they too would have chosen to bowl first.

He says now they have to focus on getting through the first hour unscathed.

Chandimal says if they do that they will be on their way to a good score.
