A CCTV camera has captured the moment three young women stormed into a dairy and attacked a north Waikato shopkeeper in a violent bid for cigarettes

Police responded to a robbery at a dairy on George Street in Tuakau about 8pm last night.

Footage on social media shows one woman repeatedly punching a male worker behind the counter.

The man is then seen trying to hold the arms of the assailant.

Another woman grabs cigarette packets from a cabinet before the trio flee.

    Police are making enquiries.
