Wellington Phoenix midfielder Sarpreet Singh's hot form has caught the eye of competition officials

Singh has been announced as the December nominee for Young Footballer of the Year.

The 19-year-old, who scored twice last month while being involved in a number of other goals, is the first 'Nix player to to be nominated for the award.

Singh however is quick to point out he didn't find form by himself.

He says his teammates and coaches have always supported him allowing him to do what he has.

The winner of the award will be announced later this year.
