The kitten, nicknamed 'Brighton', was inside a taped-up shoe box, and tossed out of a silver Holden Commodore, with one back door a brown or maroon colour.
A man in the passenger seat wearing a red singlet threw the box in a red zone paddock not far from the Bower Tavern.
'Brighton', has severe cat flu, and was sore and distressed, but expected to make a full recovery.
