Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber is attempting to play down the pressure heading into her opening match at the Australian Open today

The German is second seed and second favourite behind Serena Williams, and will start against Slovenian Polona Hercog on Rod Laver Arena.
Kerber says with a new season kicking off, she doesn't want to put too much pressure on herself.
She says all she's hopping to do is give her best in every match.
Rafael Nadal plays for the first time since the US Open against Australian James Duckworth later this afternoon.
