The Courier Mail reports the 43-year-old was breathalysed and allegedly returned a reading 3.5 times the legal limit.
Queensland Police say Lime scooter riders are treated the same as driving a motor vehicle when under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
However, back home in New Zealand - although e-scooters aren't classed as a motor vehicle, you can still be charged with 'careless or inconsiderate use'.
NZ Police say people should always keep safe ... and recommend not drinking and riding.
