    Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident that led to the death of an elderly cyclist in Auckland


    The man was found injured on Monday morning at the intersection of Southern Cross and Sprott Roads in Kohimarama.

    He was taken to hospital, where he died on Tuesday.

    Police want to speak to anyone who saw what happened or helped, including a woman who phoned his wife.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Blair Atkinson from the Serious Crash Unit.
