An early injury blow for the Mainland Tactix

Erikana Pedersen was helped from the court during Sunday's ANZ netball premiership win over the Magic in Hamilton, with what appeared to be a serious knee injury.

Coach Marianne Delaney Hoshek says while they're still waiting the results of her scans, it's not looking good.

She says it was sort of a strange turn, and while they're keeping their fingers crossed, she won't be holding her breath.

The Tactix host the Steel tonight at Horncastle Arena.

The defending champions knocked the Tactix out in last year's Preliminary final.
