Wellington Phoenix hope talismanic defender will be back on deck for match against Western Sydney Wanderers

The Wellington Phoenix have their fingers crossed their talismanic defender will be back on deck for tomorrow's A-League match against the Western Sydney Wanderers

Steven Taylor missed the last game against the Mariners with a calf niggle and will undergo a fitness test today.

Phoenix coach Mark Rudan says Taylor's probably taken longer to recover than first planned.
