The Crusaders are open to a conversation around a name change.

Questions have been raised since Friday's terror attacks in Christchurch whether the Super Rugby champions should look at the move.

The name comes from a series of Christian campaigns against Muslims in the Holy Land, between the 11th and 13th centuries.

The Wellington Phoenix have defeated the Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 in the A-League.

The dominant performance was supplemented by black arm bands, a moment's silence, collections for victim support and a rendition of Tutira Mai to remember the mosque attacks in Christchurch on Friday.

Coach Mark Rudan says the relevance of the football's been put in context.

Mainland Tactix coach Marianne Delaney-Hoshek's applauded her side's effort in their ANZ Premiership loss to the Southern Steel.

The Tactix, from Canterbury, went down 70-52 in Invercargill, two days after the mosque terror attacks in Christchurch.

Delaney-Hoshek says it was difficult to go out there and, regardless of the result, was proud of how her side performed.

It's his first win since April 2017.

Brighton's scraped into the semi-finals of English football's FA Cup.

They've scored two goals in the final seven minutes of regulation time to force a penalty shootout against Championship side Milwall.

The English Premier League club have gone on to win the shootout 5-4.

They'll face Manchester City in the semis, while Watford will play Wolves.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's moved back into top spot on the EPL ladder, with a 2-1 win over Fulham.

They have a two-point buffer over Manchester City who have a game in hand.

The Perth Wildcats have secured their fifth Australian basketball league title in 10 years.

They've beaten Melbourne United 97-84 in game four of the finals, to take the five match series 3-1.
