The Hurricanes continue to be plagued by injuries to their locks

Former Lions second rower and injury replacement Andries Ferreira is heading back to South Africa, having himself suffered a recurrence of an old injury at training.

Hurricanes coach John Plumtree says the injury to Ferreira would take three weeks to heal, hence it's not worth the effort.

Plumtree says they will continue to look for another player but for the moment, they will run with the players they have in the squad
