The Christchurch District Health Board has announced the number of confirmed measles cases in the region is now up to 35.
A passenger flying in from Melbourne on a Virgin Australia flight is the latest.
Medical officer of health Dr Alistair Humphrey says the person travelled while at the infectious stage of the disease.
He says people who shared the flight should check with their doctor about their immunisation status - and stay home and isolated for the next week.
The flight of concern was VA99 from Melbourne to Christchurch - which arrived at 11.35pm on the 19th of March.
