A terror analyst says the depths of the internet are making angry young men all the more dangerous

A terror analyst says the depths of the internet are making angry young men all the more dangerous

It comes after a 19-year-old man is being held as a suspect in a shooting at a California synagogue, which has claimed on life and left three others injured.

Posts in his name online reference other attacks on houses of worship, including the mosque shootings in Christchurch.

Intelligence analyst Paul Buchanan says we are talking about people who want to find justification for their unhappy, rotten lives.

He says in the old days they would have to meet up with like-minded spirits in person, but now they can do it all online from their bedroom.

He says that makes them all the more dangerous, because now you can be radicalised in total privacy.
