Councillors dealing with raft of reports on Wellington's public transport

Regional councillors are dealing with a raft of reports on Wellington's public transport this morning

Five papers are being tabled at the Sustainable Transport Committee.

It's found as well as problems with the buses, there are also concerning statistics for rail.

Reliability has declined because of staff and maintenance issues.

The Johnsonville line is the worst hit - with reliability down 10 per cent in March compared to the same month last year.

Bus replacements continue for the morning and afternoon peaks because of a train driver shortage.
