Teachers are throwing down another gauntlet in the form of a mega-strike

Teachers are throwing down another gauntlet in the form of a mega-strike

Primary and secondary teachers have rejected the latest deal from the Government and will hold a combined strike on May 29th.

NZEI President Lynda Stuart says they want to engage constructively with the government and end the dispute.

She says their members are very, very clear that business as usual will not achieve that.

The Ministry of Education is seeking an immediate return to facilitated bargaining.
