The forestry sector will be injected with 58-million-dollars through the Government's Wellbeing Budget

The forestry sector will be injected with 58-million-dollars through the Government's Wellbeing Budget

Forestry Minister Shane Jones says the sector has been neglected for a long time.

Te Uru Rakau - Forestry New Zealand - will double its regional presence in the next two years, building new premises in Rotorua.

Jones says it will allow land owners to work more effectively with the Government, as the sector moves through the challenges of climate change.
