A maiden finals appearance for the Northern Stars has veteran midcourter Temepara Bailey elated for her younger teammates

The Stars take on the Southern Steel in the ANZ Premiership elimination final tonight, after securing a playoff spot for the first time in their brief three season history.

Bailey says while some players in the team have finals experience under their belt, many others don't.

She says for those that haven't played finals netball before, it will be an exciting experience for them.

Centre pass from Invercargill is at 7:45pm.
