Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan injured ahead of World Cup game against Black Caps
Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan will go for scans tonight to determine the extent of an injury to his left thumb, ahead of the next World Cup game against the Black Caps
11 June 2019
Dhawan was struck on the thumb by Australian paceman Nathan Coulter-Nile in yesterday morning's win, but managed to recover to score a century.
However, he didn't take the field during Australia's run chase.
Indian media reports Dhawan will undergo tests tonight, before a decision is made over whether he plays New Zealand on Thursday night at Trent Bridge.
Dhawan has scored three fifties in 12 ODI innings against the Black Caps.
