    The team has missed out on the competition's semi-finals by the narrowest of margins losing 25-17 to South Africa in their final pool game.

    A loss of seven or less would have seen them through.

    Coach Craig Philpott says they are obviously disappointed, but will look to finish off the tournament well in the play-offs for fifth.

    He says they will look forward to playing Wales in five days, and flushing today's result.
