The Blues are playing down the possibility of All Blacks first five Beauden Barrett joining the franchise

The Blues are playing down the possibility of All Blacks first five Beauden Barrett joining the franchise

Yesterday the New Zealand Herald reported that an announcement of a Barrett move from the Hurricanes to the Blues was imminent.

Coach Leon MacDonald says Blues protocol is not to speculate on players or signings.

MacDonald says every time a high profile player comes off contract there is going to be interest from every franchise as well as speculation and this is no different.
