South Africa are one loss from being reduced to tournament spoilers rather than Cricket World Cup contenders

South Africa are one loss from being reduced to tournament spoilers rather than Cricket World Cup contenders

They play the Black Caps on Wednesday night in Birmingham, but first meet Afghanistan tomorrow morning in Cardiff.

However, the Proteas have beaten New Zealand 2-1 at home and 3-2 away in ODI series since the 2015 semi-final loss at Eden Park.

Pace bowler Tim Southee knows their capability, even without the injured Dale Steyn.

Sri Lanka faces Australia tonight at The Oval in London, with live commentary on Radio Sport from 9:15pm.
