The Black Ferns Sevens believe they are in a better position now than 12 months ago

New Zealand wrapped up the World Series title with a second placed finish at the season ending tournament in Biarritz.
The Ferns won three straight tournaments to end the 2018 season, but assistant coach Cory Sweeney says they didn't have the number of injuries experienced this year.
He says the injuries gave 23 players a chance to prove themselves at the highest level.
Sweeney says the depth of your squad determines how good you are, and they are now far more prepared if injuries were to strike again.
