A particularly chilly night for most of the country

Dunedin was the coldest of the main centres hitting minus 4 degrees - the city's coldest night of the year so far.
Christchurch had minus 3.4 degrees, while Auckland and Wellington were a comparatively balmy 5 and 9 degrees respectively.
MetService meteorologist Bill Singh says while there's been rain on the Wairarapa coast, Hawke's Bay and Gisborne, the rest of the country has been clear.
He says frost has been the major issue overnight.
Singh says the lowest temperature has been minus 7 at Pukaki Airport, near Twizel.
Bill Singh says the chilly temperatures will be shortlived because a front will move over the country from tonight.
