A man accused of a violent armed robbery spree across Christchurch two-weeks ago? is denying charges

31-year-old Lennon Donald Auckram appeared via audio visual link at the Christchurch District Court this afternoon.

He's entered not guilty pleas to 16 charges, including assault and aggravated robbery - after allegedly entering two pubs and a KFC, armed with a baseball bat and knife and taking large quantities of cash.

Auckram has elected trial by jury.

Judge Phillips remanded him in custody until a case review hearing in September .
